The policy in brief

Provider capability claims use reviewed official product pages; access, privacy, terms, pricing-model, and removal claims use official policy or support pages; challenge-blocked details stay unknown.

A correction should identify the exact page, claim, official source, and date. Supported changes must propagate to the ledger, score, verdicts, and related pages.

Source hierarchy

These rules apply to every ranking, provider card, comparison row, guide, disclosure, and outbound link on this publication.

  • T1 direct official feature pages for documented product capabilities.
  • T2 official terms, privacy, pricing, help, support, cancellation, or removal pages for policy and access statements.
  • T3 identified but challenge-blocked official endpoints, which support no feature detail.
  • Competitor and editorial pages inform page structure, not provider facts.

How a claim is attached to a source

The ledger stores the provider, source URL, role, evidence tier, capability or limitation, criterion flags, score, and checked date.

Visible pages state possible fields with may include and place unknowns next to the decision they qualify.

  • A source supports only the claim it actually documents.

Correction workflow

Record the challenged sentence, URL, official replacement source, and date observed.

Re-evaluate only the affected criterion flags under the frozen weights.

  • Update the ledger first, then every provider card, comparison, guide, disclosure, and structured-data fact that depends on it.
  • Preserve the evidence date and a concise rationale for the change.

What does not count as correction evidence

A search snippet, affiliate roundup, anonymous review, or competitor claim cannot establish an official provider capability.

One anecdotal result cannot establish population-level accuracy or coverage.

  • A blocked page cannot be treated as proof that the provider lacks a feature.

Current correction-channel status

A real monitored email address or functioning form endpoint has not been supplied.

Configure and test the contact channel before publication, then place it on this page and the contact page.

  • Until then, do not display a fake email address or pretend a form submits.
